When Your Braidout is Poppin'!

Every girl LOVES a good hair day!  Ladies, you know how it goes:  your hair is poppin', you've found the perfect natural lighting, your selfie game is up to par, and you're ultimately feeling yourself.  This was totally my personal situation a few weekend's ago.  I was invited to celebrate a fellow fabulous blogger buddy's birthday, and I knew that I wanted my hair to be big!  The best way I know how to achieve B I G hair is a braidout, so that's what I did.

I co-washed and detangled my hair using Suave Professionals Almond + Shea Butter Conditioner, then deep conditioned double time with Cantu Deep Conditioning Masque and Carol's Daughter Monoi Repaiting Hair Mask.  Let me just say....my hair was soooooooo soft after using both of these treatments!  Before this hair wash, I had my hair straightened professionally, and after wearing that out I knew that it was vital to restore moisture into my hair.  I followed these treatments with Giovanni Direct Leave-In Conditioner, Mielle Organics Hair Milk, and Mielle Organics Mint Almond Oil.  Since I began my hair washing on Thursday, I let my hair air dry and stretch in a low bun, all day Friday.  That evening, I braided my hair using EcoStyler Argan Oil Gel, and Eden Body Works Coconut All Natural Curl Defining Creme.

Lastly, I took the braids out before I went out on Saturday evening, and there was a lot of definition (TIP: I make my braids tight as I wrap each strand of hair, and before the end of the hair I make a two-strand twist, and twirl the ends).  I separated, picked and fluffed my hair until it had reached its potential.  To keep this style I just threw on a bonnet and fluffed and separated some more!

I added a hat, and a middle part for flair!

All of the products mentioned in this post complemented each other nicely, and assisted in keeping my hair moisturized.  I did not have to add more product, and I simply misted my hair with water to remoisturize.
