Weekend Wear|Class of Seventy Four

Where’d you get that shirt?!”  A question posed several times the evening that I attended the All Curls Wanted event, and here I am to finally answer it.  I fell in love with this shirt from Class of Seventy Four the minute that I saw it: The words Detroit’s Doper dripped in bling, draping from a gold curb chain, gracefully adorning the neck of the regal Ms. Diana Ross, a Detroit native herself.  I had to have it! 

 
 

I bought the shirt a few weeks prior to the event and I just couldn’t figure out how I wanted to wear it.  With the graphics on the tee making a bold statement, I didn’t want to take away from that.  I love wearing all black (you should see my closet), so I paired my tee with black pants and black platform booties.  To lighten up the look I added two pops of color with a red lip and red blazer.  I sleeked my hair to the back in a low bun, because again, I wanted the focal point to be the shirt.  Here’s the final look:
