I've been trying to get back into eating healthy, but it's been no easy feat. As a fan of green smoothies, I have tried to stray away from the prepackaged ones at the grocery stores with unnecessary chemicals and additives. Why am I a fan of green smoothies? Well, you can get your daily dose of vitamins from one serving of nutrient dense fruits, vegetables, and proteins. So to satisfy my taste for them, I've been making them at home. Here is the recipe that I have been using:
1 handful of spinach and/or kale [frozen or fresh]
5 strawberries [frozen or fresh]
1/4 cup mango [frozen or fresh]
1 tsp chia seeds
1/2 of a banana
1/4 cup of almond milk
Add ingredients in blender.
