inspire (verb): to fill (someone) with the urge or ability to do or feel something, esp. to do something creative.
I like to think of myself as a connoisseur of good music, especially music that inspires me! I can find inspiration in any genre of music. Sometimes I find myself not liking a song in the beginning, and then loving it. Such was the case with "Unwritten" my Natasha Bedingfield. This song just happened to come on Pandora one day, and it spoke to me.
“Staring at the blank page before you. Open up the dirty window. Let the sun illuminate the words that you could not find. Reaching for something in the distance. So close you can almost taste it. Release your inhibitions! Feel the rain on your skin! No one else can feel it for you! Only you can let it in. No one else, can speak the words on your lips! Drench yourself in words unspoken. Live your life with arms wide open! Today is where your book begins! The rest is still unwritten”
I mean…WOW! I have the tendency to procrastinate. So when actually listened to the words in the song, I found the message! I heard a little voice in my head say, "No one is going to write that blog for you! No one is going to lose that weight for you! "No one can express what is on YOUR mind!” I have found myself staring at many blank pages, and not taking the time to fill them.
So many of my goals are so close that I can almost taste them! It’s a matter of not caring what others think, and not expecting anyone to be able to express the story that was placed on the inside of you! I don’t believe that anything is easier said than done (so don’t even go there while reading this!). If you want something, you will make a change and work for it. Otherwise, you’ll continue to make excuses. I have opened up the dirty window, and thrown out my inhibitions! It’s time to fill those blank pages, or continue to be unwritten.
Take a listen!
