Beauty Buys

As of late, I have not been feeling my skin's dull appearance.  I'll be glad when the sun comes back from vacation and adds a glow to my skin, but in the meantime, I've been on the hunt for some new products.  Aside from increasing my water intake, I was looking for something to assist in getting my skin back on the right track.  I really don't have problem facial skin other than sporadic pimples, blackheads, and occasionally dry skin, but prevention is best.  So I headed to my favorite beauty retailers in hope of a resolution.  Here are my recent beauty buys:

I had been putting off a trip to Sephora for a couple of weeks after hearing several people rave about this oil.  Of course one of the things that I liked about this oil is that there are no parabens, sulfates, or phthalates.  However, I was nervous because I had never heard of seaberry oil, and with my overly sensitive skin this could have ended badly.  This seaberry, cranberry seed, camellia seed, grapeseed, and sweet almond oil fortified mix is formulated to help you maintain your youthful appearance, elasticity, smoothness, and leave skin refreshed.  I am currently loving this product!  I applied after my toner the other day, and then applied my makeup, and there was no oily look or feeling. This lightweight formula kept my skin hydrated, and I will definitely be keeping it in my skincare rotation.

OK, this is not going to fix my skin issues, but it was so pretty that I couldn't pass it up.  I think I have an obsession with matte lips.  I came across this liner on a trip to the mall, and I stopped in Bare Minerals with a friend.  I looked over the lipstick selection, and a liner was the only option for a matte look.  When wearing lip colors, I tend to stick to nude, pink, and brown.  Anything after that is too much for my taste.  I lined and filled my lips with this and then added a rose pink matte lippie on top.  This color lasted all day and complemented my fresh face look perfectly.

Ultra Moisturizing & Brightening Rose Mask, $6.00, Sephora

Mattifying & Anti-Blemish Green Tea Mask, $6.00, Sphora

Toning & Revitalizing Ginseng Eye Mask, $6.00, Sephora

Okay, so I'm a total sucker when watching YouTube videos.  If I see a cool product in a vlogger's haul, I'm probably going to buy it.  Not only that, I love the packaging on these masks, especially the bright colors.  There were so many different formulas to choose from, but I finally settled on these three:

Rose Mask provides deep moisture and brightening properties through natural rose extract.

Green Tea Mask mattifies and purifies to soothe skin, absorb sebum, and reduce the appearance of outbreaks.

Ginseng Eye Mask tones and energizes while providing a tightening effect for a plumped and supple complexion.

I like the fact that they are fiber sheets and not clay masks that harden.I haven't tried these yet, but I will definitely share my response to them as soon as I do.

Shea Moisture Argan Oil & Raw Shea Hand & Body Scrub, $9.99, Ulta

Shea Moisture Lemongrass & Ginger Hand & Body Scrub, $9.99, Ulta

I have eczema, and after a bad flareup, there is some discoloration on my trouble areas.  I usually exfoliate to combat the pigmentation and  the dry, dead skin that is left behind as it heals.  I frequent Shea Moisture products, and I love the way their scrubs make my skin feel.  The argan oil scrub is great for anti-aging, and the lemongrass and ginger scent is perfect for an extra boost when waking up in the morning and purifying your skin.  I love these products, and I can't wait to take a shower right now lol.

Let's talk: What are some of your recent beauty buys? Have you tried any of these products?
