Just In Time For Fall Bucket List

It's official!  The last weekend of summer is behind us.  Classes are back in session, days are cooler, pumpkin flavors rule the coffeehouse, and the hues of the season are darker.  That can only mean one thing: Fall is right around the corner, and there is so much to do to make the most of my favorite time of the year.  Here are five things that I'm really looking forward to in this season:

Visit a Cider Mill

Yes, visiting a cider mill is number one on my list!  It's apple season here in Michigan, and I am more than ready to have my fair share of apple cider and donuts! I have not visited one since I was....probably in elementary school, many moons ago.  So it's needless to say that a trip is well overdue.

Attend At Least Two Concerts

There's something about attending concerts in the fall that just seems so...right.  A few of my favorite R&B performers will be in concert, locally, and I feel that I must take in at least two shows.  The first show that I excited about is Jazmine Sullivan, who will be in concert with Jaheim.  I've never seen her perform live, but I'm sure you know by now that I love her music!  Then there is the Avant, Ginuwine, Dru Hill, Case (and more) show!  I grew up listening to most of their music, and now that I'm older and can actually relate to the lyrics,  I just know that this concert is going to be something special!  Musiq and Chrisette Michele will both be in concert (separately), and I'm on the fence whether or not I should attend one of those shows.

Have a Staycation

As much as I would LOVE to travel to Atlanta, Chicago, or D.C. this fall, I've decided to take a staycation, instead.  I'm thinking of planning my getaway for the weekend of my birthday, in October, and staying at a nice hotel around the metro area that offers spa packages.  I just want to relax, alone, with a good book, a glass of wine, my favorite music, and spend some time reevaluating what Antoinette wants.

Get Into Fall Fashion

I remember when my parents would by my clothes for each new season.  It was such a simpler time.  Now the task is mine, and while I do not like spending my own money, I do love to shop for this season.  Even though here in Michigan fall is often interrupted by the brash winter weather, I'm still excited to try out some new styles.  Also, I am committing to doing at least three fall outfit of the day/night posts, so stay tuned!

Give Back

Last but certainly not least, is one my favorite things to do: give to those in need.  I usually commit to giving back to different organizations year round, but there is something about the latter months that really surge me to give to others.  Last Thanksgiving, my friends and I helped out at a shelter and assisted in serving breakfast to those in need.  I am totally looking forward to serving them again, and more, this year.
